Kyle Sandilands claims he made $700,000 in hours thanks to Donald Trump's new crypto meme coin

KIIS FM breakfast host Kyle Sandilands shocked listeners on Monday morning after claiming he made $700,000 in just a few hours thanks to US President-elect Donald Trump.

Kyle Sandilands has reportedly made a staggering $700,000 in just a few hours, thanks to US President-elect Donald Trump.

Sandilands and co-host Jackie 'O' Henderson returned to air after their summer break on Monday, and the 53-year-old took the opportunity to share details about his extraordinary financial gain.

While spending Saturday night at home with friends, Sandilands said he decided to invest in Trump's newly-announced crypto meme coin, $TRUMP.

The president-elect announced the meme coin called $TRUMP at 1pm AEST on Friday via his Truth Social account.

"My NEW Official Trump Meme is HERE! It’s time to celebrate everything we stand for: WINNING! Join my very special Trump Community. GET YOUR $TRUMP NOW," Trump said.

Sandilands said he invested AUD$10,000 in the coin in the early hours of Sunday morning.

"I jumped in with $10,000 and by the time I woke up, I was $700,000 richer," he said.

Newsreader Brooklyn Ross needed clarification, asking, "$700,000, you say?"

Sandilands confirmed, "By the time I woke up I was $700,000 richer."

Despite his remarkable profit, Sandilands said he hasn’t sold his $TRUMP investment yet.

The radio host admitted his summer break was relatively uneventful, apart from taking a private jet to Brisbane with his two-year-old son, Otto, to visit the Bluey theme park.

When Henderson teased Sandilands about the estimated $20,000-$25,000 cost of the trip, he said he preferred private travel because he dislikes "lines and frisking" at commercial airports.

He added that he also covered hotel and fees for the pilot and plane.

"That's throwing money away Kyle," Henderson quipped, prompting Sandilands to remind her of his $700,000 windfall.

Sandilands has been an outspoken supporter of the president-elect, previously describing Trump’s 2024 election victory over Kamala Harris as a "win for everyone".

In 2021, Donald Trump Jr. even thanked Sandilands and the show on-air, saying, "Thank you for being a big supporter of my father and my family… God knows, down there, you guys need it too."
