Kendrick Lamar will headline the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show, the rapper and the NFL have confirmed.
The Grammy-winning artist will take to the stage at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 12, 2025.
Lamar confirmed the news in a statement on Sunday, saying: "Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I'll be there to remind the world why.
"They got the right one."
The Super Bowl halftime show is one of the most-watched musical events in the world, with an audience of over 100 million viewers typically tuning in.
Past performers include Rihanna, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Michael Jackson.
Lamar is widely regarded as one of the greatest rappers of all time, with five studio albums, all of which have debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
He has also won 14 Grammy Awards, including two for Album of the Year.
The 2025 Super Bowl will be played between the AFC and NFC champions at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
