As per the post on X, he plans to lock the developers’ share of the coins and use revenue from his YouTube streams and videos to support the coin

Indian comedian Tanmay Bhat has announced the launch of his own cryptocurrency, dubbed “Tanmeme.” The announcement was made via a post on X, where Bhat unveiled details about the token, which will be built on the Solana blockchain.
According to Bhat, he plans to lock the developers’ share of the coins and use revenue from his YouTube streams and videos to support the coin and integrate it into his content. The post also includes a string of characters, “9Pi7t..,” which appears to be a Solana wallet or token contract address.
The token unlock is scheduled every two weeks, with the first 40 million tokens set to be released on March 10. Bhat has invited interested parties to join the Telegram group for further updates.
Tanmay Bhat is an Indian comedian, writer, and YouTuber, best known as the co-founder of All India Bakchod (AIB). He has been actively involved in the cryptocurrency space, having invested in projects like Samudai, CrowdPad, LogX (Flint), and MeanFi. Bhat has also participated in discussions about crypto and Web3 in India, including events with industry leaders.
As of now, there are no official updates on how Tanmeme will be incorporated into Bhat's content. He has called on his followers to stay tuned for more information.
However, some users have questioned the legitimacy of the announcement, speculating whether Tanmay was hacked. Comments like “Hacked for sure” and “Why does every celebrity get ‘hacked’ once every bull market” suggest skepticism, as similar incidents have occurred in past crypto cycles.
Recently, another popular Indian comedian, Samay Raina, was also caught up in a memecoin controversy after Raina Coin was launched without his knowledge or consent. The incident sparked a discussion about the ethics of using public figures' names and images for cryptocurrency projects.
