Hailey Welch, who is best known as “Hawk Tuah Girl” thanks to her viral video, is finally breaking her silence on the crash of her meme coin.

A meme coin promoted by TikTok star Hailey Welch crashed on December 4, leaving investors with massive losses. Now, Welch is breaking her silence on the incident.

The coin, called $HAWK, was launched on December 4 and quickly rose to a market cap of $490 million. However, within minutes, the coin crashed to below $100 million. According to THR, investors lost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Although Welch is not named in the lawsuit, investors have filed a suit against the creators of $HAWK, accusing them of “unlawfully promoting and selling cryptocurrency that was allegedly never properly registered.”

After weeks of silence on the controversy, Welch is now speaking out.
