Dave Portnoy Says He Owns $1.5 Million Bitcoin, $1.3 Million XRP: 'Bet It And Set It, Not Trading'

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy recently shared on a stream that he owns $1.5 million in Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and $1.3 million in XRP (CRYPTO: XRP).

The price of the XRP token from Ripple has been soaring, and price and interest with the latest news of a USD-backed stablecoin called Ripple USD (CRYPTO:RLUSD) helping to carry the story forward to the end of the year.

During a stream this week, Portnoy also discussed his large XRP holdings, which he said now total $1.3 million.

"I own $1.3 million of XRP, I bet it and I set it. I'm not trading it. I don't care what happens to it, I bet it and I set it. I'm not interested in hearing from the suits on Wall Street who are like, 'Oh you shouldn't be doing that, you should be actively trading it, you should be doing this, you should be doing that. I'm not interested in hearing from you, I'm happy with what I'm doing."

Later in the stream, Portnoy took on the "suits" and members of Wall Street who dismiss his opinions and trading activity.

"I'm not interested in hearing from you, I'm happy with what I'm doing. I'm making money, I'm having fun, I'm entertaining people. I'm not hurting anybody, I'm not stealing from anybody, I'm not robbing from anybody, I'm not taking advantage of anybody. I'm happy with what I'm doing, so leave me alone."
