Crypto startup Ctrl today announced the official launch of its mobile wallet on Android, with iOS set to follow shortly.
What began as a seed round in 2021 and later a Series A earlier in 2023, Ctrl's app is focused on tackling what it deems "long-standing issues" with traditional crypto wallets. The goal is to offer a seamless, powerful, and accessible solution for managing digital assets across over 2,300 blockchains.
The startup's mobile wallet is touted as a single point of access for the entire Web3 ecosystem. It features a unified portfolio view that consolidates assets from all chains into one dashboard, providing a clear overview of holdings and even uncovering tokens that users may have forgotten about.
Moreover, Ctrl Wallet introduces a new Gas Tank for paying on-chain fees with $USDC or $CTRL, eliminating the need for native tokens for gas. The app also integrates cross-chain swaps directly, allowing for seamless trades between networks like Ethereum, Solana, and Binance Smart Chain without switching apps or platforms.
The onboarding process is also streamlined, with new users able to create a wallet in under 15 seconds using social logins and existing users easily importing wallets from platforms like MetaMask and Phantom.
