Craig Wright Files Lawsuit Against Bitcoin Core and Jack Dorsey's Square, Representing Himself in Court as a ‘Litigant in Person’

Oct 12, 2024 at 02:21 pm

Latest media reports confirmed that Craig Wright has filed a lawsuit against Bitcoin Core and former X (formerly Twitter) CEO Jack Dorsey's blockchain firm Square

Craig Steven Wright, an Australian computer scientist and businessman, has made headlines with his controversial claims to be the real Bitcoin inventor, Satoshi Nakamoto. However, these assertions have been met with widespread skepticism from the media and key figures in the Bitcoin community.

In March 2024, the British High Court ruled that Wright was not Satoshi Nakamoto, based on the evidence and facts presented. Subsequently, in July 2024, he was reported to UK prosecutors for alleged perjury related to these claims. As of 2019, Wright is known to be residing in the United Kingdom.

According to the latest media reports, Craig Wright has filed a lawsuit against Bitcoin Core and former X (formerly Twitter) CEO Jack Dorsey’s blockchain firm Square, representing himself in court as a ‘litigant in person.’

On 11 Oct 2024, Wright discussed legal threats and lawsuits regarding MicroStrategy on X (formerly Twitter), although it is unclear if this is connected to the recent filing.

It is a lawsuit, a looming specter with even the slimmest chance—a mere 1%—to succeed. But such a chance is no triviality. In the unforgiving realm of reality, a single error in judgment, a miscalculation of risk, could undo all that has been built. This legal threat, if…

HBO Documentary: New Satoshi Nakamoto Identity

Just a few days ago, an HBO documentary made claims that former Bitcoin developer Peter Todd is the real identity behind Satoshi Nakamoto.

https://t.co/IrKj1u09A5#HBO Set to Uncover the True Identity of #Bitcoin Creator #SatoshiNakamoto in Exclusive Documentary!

However, Todd himself denies such claims when his name started circulating among Crypto X users as a potential Bitcoin inventor.

With all the drama coming out tonight, I gotta say that @CaolanRob is doing infinitely more important work than @CullenHobackYou really should watch this. And I hope one day I get the privilege of meeting Caolan. As for Cullen, he bought lunch at least. 😂 https://t.co/IyQeAT5uuu
