Coinbase, the world's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange, has faced scrutiny from users claiming they are unable to withdraw funds, despite the platform's announcement of a full recovery following a system-wide outage on Monday.

The three-hour outage occurred on May 13, disrupting transactions and leaving users unable to access their funds. In the early hours of Tuesday, Coinbase declared the issue resolved and apologized for the inconvenience.

However, a substantial number of users have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to dispute the recovery announcement, stating that they continue to encounter problems withdrawing their funds.

"It's not fixed, withdrawals are not available!!" one user lamented.

Another user tagged Coinbase's official X account, expressing frustration and claiming that "millions of people are still unable to withdraw or transfer their assets."

In response to users' concerns, Coinbase has acknowledged the ongoing issues, stating that "some users may still experience issues while sending cryptocurrency or withdrawing fiat. Our team is on top of it."

According to the latest update on the exchange's status page, posted at 02:58 PDT, investigations are ongoing into the matter. Coinbase reassured users that funds remain secure.

When contacted for further clarification, Coinbase stated that "some users may still experience failures when sending crypto or withdrawing fiat" and that the issue is under investigation.

Coinbase has not provided any additional information regarding the cause of the initial outage.

The ongoing withdrawal problems have raised concerns about the stability and reliability of the Coinbase platform, which has over 103 million verified users. The incident follows a series of high-profile outages and security breaches in the cryptocurrency industry, highlighting the importance of robust infrastructure and user protection measures.

Protos has reached out to Coinbase for additional comment but has not received a response at the time of publication. This article will be updated with any new information that becomes available.
