Coinbase's (NASDAQ:COIN) advanced trading platform, Coinbase Advanced, has seen a 77% increase in traders this year, the company told Investing.com this week.
The crypto exchange's Advanced trading platform, which is intended for more experienced traders, also posted a 191% increase in trades between January 1 and December 15.
Additionally, there was a 10,950% increase in derivative volume, while perp contracts rose by 91 and spot assets increased by 47.
The Advanced platform provides users with enhanced tools such as interactive charts powered by TradingView, advanced order types, and access to all of the other features offered by Coinbase, including staking, Borrow, Card, and dapp Wallet.
Furthermore, it promises users competitive fees and the ability to trade in and out quickly in over 550 markets.
Coinbase Advanced replaced Coinbase Pro in 2022, with the company stating on its site that it is "a level up from Pro."
Looking ahead to 2025, Coinbase told Investing.com that its plans for the Advanced platform include perpetual futures for eligible traders in EU markets, while it will also look to implement more advanced order functions.
Furthermore, Coinbase Advanced is also hoping to introduce a more robust, exclusive VIP program next year, as well as a leaderboard with exclusive prizes for traders on the platform.
