Crypto enthusiasts are showing massive interest in Solaxy ($SOLX), Solana's most anticipated Layer 2 solution

Solaxy is one of the few crypto projects reaching new milestones while markets remain in the red, making it one of the best crypto presales this year.
Crypto enthusiasts are showing massive interest in Solaxy ($SOLX), Solana's most anticipated Layer 2 solution, which has already raised over $25.8 million in record time.
Solaxy is one of the few crypto projects reaching new milestones while markets remain in the red, making it one of the best crypto presales this year.
Many investors are also excited about Solaxy's prospects because of key developments in the Solana network itself. For example, validators are gearing up to vote on two proposals to strengthen Solana's sustainability and tokenomics.
These upgrades align with Solaxy's vision to supercharge Solana's infrastructure when network usage hits extreme peaks.
As Solaxy gets closer to fully meeting its funding targets, early buyers have limited time to participate in its presale. You can still buy SOLX tokens for just $0.00166, but that window will quickly end once the presale moves to its next tier.
Can Solana Upgrades Revive SOL's Momentum?
Despite Donald Trump's plans to include Solana and other altcoins in the US Digital Asset Stockpile, SOL's price action has been struggling.
After briefly rallying following Trump's announcement, SOL went on to decline amid an ongoing market-wide correction. Leading cryptos such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana itself have fallen to new yearly lows after the U.S. government revealed its plans to acquire altcoins through forfeiture proceedings, not direct purchases.
However, even with the recent market panic and price drops, bulls still have a few reasons to look forward with optimism. For instance, the CME Group is launching Solana futures contracts on March 17, pending regulatory approval. The SEC has also issued an official statement clarifying that community meme coins are not securities, which could help give Solana's meme coin builders and buyers a much-needed morale boost.
Looking more deeply into the Solana ecosystem, the network's validators are also set to vote on a couple of proposals that could reshape Solana's tokenomics.
The SIMD 0123 proposal aims to automatically share priority fees (extra payments for faster transactions) with Solana stakers based on a set rate, reducing validator control over these profits. In doing so, it will promote fairness in reward distribution.
On the other hand, the SIMD 0228 upgrade is even more impactful, and suggests adjusting Solana's inflation rate in step with staking participation.
As more users stake their SOL, inflation will cool off—reducing the rate at which new tokens enter the system. This upgrade has already received strong support, with over 73% voting for it.
However, the quorum has yet to be reached—so the upgrade might not be approved if too few validators vote.
Meanwhile, Solaxy ($SOLX) is set to address Solana's system slowdowns, which tend to happen when high traffic spikes occur. Solana's historical problems, like the meltdown triggered by Trump's meme coin launches, prove that the chain still needs more stability to truly become an “Ethereum killer.”
Solaxy's Rollup Model Could Rescue Solana From Congestion
Using its new rollup solution, Solaxy aims to reduce Solana's failed transaction issue by running most of the heavy processing off-chain. Then, these “bundles” of transactions will be transferred back to Solana's mainnet.
This design works in a similar manner to Ethereum-based Layer 2 protocols like Arbitrum and Optimism. Both L2s saw their tokens soar in popularity as they drastically improved Ethereum's network performance.
Solaxy's development toolkit is also being built to match the convenience devs currently enjoy on Ethereum-based Layer 2s.
The project recently confirmed the successful testing of a few essential upgrades. These improvements aim to accelerate transactions, lower network fees for users, and improve on-chain data storage efficiency.
Solaxy also plans to roll out a token launchpad, allowing projects to launch tokens on Solaxy's chain. This could compete with existing platforms like Pump.fun, but with the promise of more stability and broader applications beyond just meme coins.
Solaxy is also expanding its cross-chain compatibility. It's creating a bridge interface based on Hyperlane's repository to allow easy cross-chain transactions between Ethereum, Solana, Base, and Solaxy.
With newly added multi-chain wallet support, users on different blockchains can seamlessly bridge into Solaxy's ecosystem.
SOLX tokens will power all Solaxy platform transactions, and enable its holders to earn passive income. The project currently offers an APY of up to 158% pa for staking SOLX.
How to Buy SOLX Before Exchange Listings
After jumping to around $177 a few weeks ago, SOL has begun hovering under $130, partly due to the underwhelming outcome of last week's White House Crypto Summit.
Still, the big picture for Solana
