Cantina Royale’s future came into question following the tragic passing of its CEO, Alex, in June. Alex’s leadership was instrumental in guiding Cantina Royale through a year of active development, assembling a passionate community around the game’s polished mechanics and competitive loop.

According to a joint statement released on March 31, BoomLand’s team had long been fans of Cantina Royale’s unique blend of competitive shooting and web3 technologies. When the Cantina Royale team reached a critical juncture in their development cycle, discussions began on how to best preserve the project’s value and momentum.

“This is the result of deep respect, strategic alignment, and a shared belief in what Cantina Royale can become,” the companies stated.

Cantina Royale servers went offline starting March 28 at 13:00 UTC in preparation for the integration.
