How to Buy BONE with Credit Card on Shibarium

Aug 14, 2024 at 04:21 pm

Shiba Inu's marketing lead, Lucie, reveals that the ecosystem team has collaborated with fiat on-ramp service provider Wert to simplify BONE purchases on Shibarium.

How to Buy BONE with Credit Card on Shibarium

Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, Lucie, has announced a new partnership with fiat on-ramp service provider Wert. The collaboration aims to simplify the process of purchasing BONE on Shibarium.

With the integration of Shibarium’s fiat on-ramp service, users can now directly purchase BONE and USDC using Visa or Mastercard payment cards.

Highlighting the development during his presentation at Blockchain Futuristic Conference (BFC), Shiba Inu’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, noted that the initiative will make it easier for newcomers to join Shibarium.

According to Lucie’s X post, the move will ultimately boost the adoption of the supported tokens, considering they can be acquired using familiar payment methods, which could, in turn, positively impact their values in the long term.

However, it’s worth noting that the service currently only supports purchases of BONE and USDC on Shibarium using Visa and Mastercard credit cards. The team has not yet disclosed whether it plans to integrate support for other ecosystem tokens, such as SHIB and LEASH.

How to Buy Bone with Credit Card on Shibarium

Shibarium users can easily purchase BONE and USDC with their credit cards in a matter of clicks, even without prior experience.

To purchase the assets with fiats, head over to the home of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, Shib.io. Begin the purchase by clicking “Buy $BONE with Card,” located at the screen’s top right corner.

A new window will appear on your screen, where you can enter the amount of BONE you wish to buy. To change your preferred token to USDC or BONE, click the dropdown arrow next to BONE in this window. For this article, we will use BONE as the preferred asset.

Enter the amount of BONE you wish to buy and click the “Continue” button below the screen. You will be required to enter your Shibarium address; do so and hit the continue button.

Enter your mobile number on the next screen and input the verification code sent to you. Afterward, provide your credit card details, and your BONE tokens will be sent to your wallets upon confirmation of the transaction. Every transaction will incur a 4% service charge, which will be deducted from the transaction amount.

Shibarium Team Aims to Boost Adoption

With the integration of the fiat on-ramp service, the Shiba Inu ecosystem team aims to boost the L2 network’s adoption, particularly in terms of wallet creation and transaction count.

At the time of writing, 1,812,035 (1.81 million) wallet addresses have interacted with Shibarium. The network also boasts a total transaction count of 418,054,984 (418.05 million).
