Dubai, United Arab Emirates – April 11, 2024 – BNB Chain, the community-driven blockchain ecosystem that encompasses the world's largest smart contract blockchain, has announced the commencement of its "Coding the Future" online hackathon for the second quarter of 2024.

The Q2 installment of the BNB Chain Hackathon 2024 is generously sponsored by Baby Doge and Holoworld AI, while the full annual hackathon garners support from Polyhedra Network, Dora Factory, DEGO Finance, TUSD, Sonorus, and THENA.

Success of the Q1 Hackathon

The Q2 hackathon builds upon the success of the "Building Smart and Fully-on-Chain Applications" hackathon held in Q1 2024. The inaugural hackathon attracted developers worldwide, resulting in 700 entries and 178 selected projects.

After meticulous evaluation, BNB Chain selected 12 projects to present at Demo Day, where they competed for the top three spots. Greenfield Indexer, an open-source index service and API, emerged as the first prize winner. Other prize winners included LocknPull, a Web3 native exchangeable card game, and PLAYMASK, a Web3 gaming infrastructure.

Timeline and Eligibility

The Q2 hackathon will span a period of one and a half months, with registration closing on April 25. Participants can unlock additional rewards by completing milestone challenges.

Winners will receive dedicated technical support from BNB Chain for up to one month after the hackathon. They will also have exclusive access to interview opportunities with MVB program coordinators.
