Bitcoin Rebounds to $70K

After a comparatively calm weekend, Bitcoin's trading week began on a positive note, seeing the asset jump from around $64,000 to $66,000 before skyrocketing towards $70,000 on Tuesday.

Bulls continued to push, taking BTC to a fresh 15-day high just under $72,000 on Wednesday. However, the asset was met with a strong rejection there and was driven down to $68,400 shortly after.

Bitcoin initiated an immediate recovery and once again approached $72,000 but to no avail. Another leg down followed, and BTC dropped to $69,200 yesterday. As of now, though, it has managed to reclaim most losses and is sitting just over $70,000.

Its market capitalization remains shy of $1.4 trillion by about $20 billion, and its dominance over altcoins has stalled at 49.7%, as per CoinGecko.

SOL Eyes $200

Solana and Toncoin have emerged as the top performers today. SOL has added close to 6% in a day and is once again close to $200. TON's gains are similar, with the asset climbing above $5.

Ripple, Cardano, Avalanche, Polkadot, Chainlink, and Tron are also in the green, albeit more modestly. BCH has continued to perform ahead of its second halving, which is just days away, and now trades above $600.

In contrast, ETH and BNB have dipped slightly, dragging down the two major memecoins – SHIB and DOGE – with them.

The crypto market cap has remained relatively stagnant on a daily scale and is still below $2.8 trillion.
