In a volatile trading session on Wednesday, Bitcoin (BTC) witnessed a modest increase, while Ethereum (ETH) endured losses. As of this writing, the global crypto market capitalization has risen to $2.5 trillion, reflecting a 0.5% gain over the past 24 hours.

Bitcoin and Ethereum Price Action

Bitcoin climbed higher, trading at $65,870, representing a 0.3% gain. However, the cryptocurrency remained below the crucial $66,000 resistance level.

Ethereum, on the other hand, retreated, dipping below the $3,400 mark. At present, ETH is priced at $3,314, experiencing a decline of approximately 0.2%.

Top Gainers and Losers

Over the past 24 hours, Ethena (ENA) emerged as the top gainer, surging by a remarkable 46.7% to reach $0.8838. Other notable performers included Flare (FLR), Bitget Token (BGB), Bittensor (TAO), and NEAR Protocol (NEAR), posting gains of 29%, 22.2%, 9.8%, and 8.4%, respectively.

Among the decliners, Stacks (STX) plummeted by 6.6%, followed by Aptos (APT) with a 4.8% drop. Fantom (FTM), Uniswap (UNI), and Maker (MKR) also experienced losses, ranging from 3.2% to 3.8%.

U.S. Economic Indicators

Private businesses in the United States added 184,000 workers in March, exceeding market expectations of 148,000 and surpassing the revised February gain of 155,000. This positive employment data suggests a robust U.S. economy.
