Bitcoin (BTC) Ends 2024 on a Mellow Note, Dips to $92,000; ETH, SOL, XRP, LTC Land in the Red

Bitcoin (BTC), the world's oldest and most valued crypto, seems to be ending 2024 on a mellow note, as it dipped down to $92,000 early Tuesday.

As we bid farewell to 2024, the world’s oldest and most valued cryptocurrency, Bitcoin (BTC), seems to be ending the year on a mellow note. After kicking off the day above the $93,000 mark, BTC slipped down to $92,000 early Tuesday. A broader market sell-off saw several other popular altcoins, including the likes of Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Ripple (XRP), and Litecoin (LTC), also landing in the reds across the board.

Meanwhile, the overall Market Fear & Greed Index stood at 48 (Neutral) out of 100, as per CoinMarketCap data. Among the top crypto gainers over the past 24 hours were Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL), which saw a 24-hour jump of nearly 2 percent, followed by Mantle (MNT) and FTX Token (FTT). On the other hand, Helium (HNT) emerged as the biggest loser today, with a 24-hour dip of nearly 11 percent.

At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap stood at $3.23 trillion, registering a 24-hour dip of 1.32 percent.

After a 24-hour dip of 0.99 percent, Bitcoin price stood at $92,706.12, as per CoinMarketCap. According to Indian exchanges, BTC price stood at Rs 79.87 lakh.

Ethereum (ETH) Price Today

ETH price saw a 24-hour jump of 1.87 percent, currently priced at $3,349.79. At the time of writing, Ethereum price in India stood at Rs 2.91 lakh.

Dogecoin (DOGE) Price Today

DOGE price registered a 24-hour dip of 2.18 percent, as per CoinMarketCap data, currently priced at $0.3104. Dogecoin price in India stood at Rs 27.08.

Litecoin (LTC) Price Today

LTC saw a 24-hour dip of 2.80 percent. At the time of writing, it was trading at $98.66. LTC price in India stood at Rs 8,601.54.

Ripple (XRP) Price Today

XRP price stood at $2.03, seeing a 24-hour loss of 2.79 percent. Ripple price in India stood at Rs 176.44.
