Bison Unveils Insured ETH Staking Service in Partnership With Munich Re and Staking Facilities
Oct 08, 2024 at 08:54 pm
Bison, a crypto trading and exchange-traded funds platform by the Böerse Stuttgart Group, has unveiled a new staking service offering insured staking with Ethereum.
Cryptocurrency exchange and trading platform Bison, operated by Boerse Stuttgart Group, has announced a new staking service that offers insured staking with Ethereum (ETH).
In an update on Oct. 8, the product is part of a collaboration between Bison and German companies Munich Re and Staking Facilities. Munich Re is a global reinsurance company, while Staking Facilities is a Web3 infrastructure provider that offers non-custodial staking.
Staking starting from 0.005 ETH
Bison’s platform offers 27 tradable assets, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Cardano (ADA). The platform also provides access to over 2,500 stocks and exchange-traded products.
With the new feature, Bison users will be able to stake Ether (ETH) starting from 0.005 ETH, enabling more holders to participate in the network and earn staking rewards.
Moreover, Bison now supports insured ETH staking, which will be rolled out gradually and includes slashing protection and weekly payouts. The insurance covers stakers against validator losses due to slashing for improper actions.

Bison also benefits from compliant services, with all staked assets being held in custody by Boerse Stuttgart Digital Custody. The regulated platform is licensed by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).
Earlier this month, Boerse Stuttgart completed a pilot on tokenized securities settlement, involving major banks as part of the European Central Bank’s DLT tests.
In September, the crypto subsidiary of the company, Boerse Stuttgart Digital, announced a partnership with DZ Bank to offer crypto trading and custody to its customers.
