How to add the Equilibrium mainnet (EQ) to MetaMask.
To utilize the Equilibrium Mainnet (EQ), add the network to MetaMask by entering the RPC URL, Chain ID, Currency Symbol, and Block Explorer URL.

How to Add the Equilibrium Mainnet (EQ) to MetaMask
1. Install MetaMask
- Navigate to the MetaMask website (https://metamask.io/) and click "Download."
- Choose your preferred browser and install the MetaMask extension.
- Create a new wallet or import an existing one.
2. Add the Equilibrium Mainnet (EQ) Network
- Click the "Networks" tab in the MetaMask dropdown menu.
- Click "Add Network."
Enter the following details:
- Network Name: Equilibrium Mainnet (EQ)
- New RPC URL: https://node.equilibrium.io
- Chain ID: 4
- Currency Symbol: EQ
- Block Explorer URL: https://explorer.equilibrium.io
3. Confirm Network Addition
- Click "Save."
- The Equilibrium Mainnet (EQ) network will now appear in the "Networks" dropdown menu.
4. Add EQ Token to MetaMask (Optional)
- To easily view EQ token balances in MetaMask, follow these steps:
- Click "Add Token."
- Search for "Equilibrium" or enter the contract address: 0x834c6d2b8964a667333cf45e07d59c06860c2db9
- Click "Add Custom Token."
- The EQ token will now be added to your MetaMask wallet.
5. Transfer EQ Tokens to MetaMask
- To use EQ tokens on the Equilibrium Mainnet, you need to transfer them to your MetaMask wallet from another exchange or wallet.
- Obtain the wallet address associated with your MetaMask EQ network.
- Initiate a transfer from your previous wallet to the MetaMask EQ wallet address.
6. Verify Asset Balance
- Once the transfer completes, your EQ token balance will appear in the "Assets" tab of the MetaMask dropdown menu.
- Confirm the transaction details on the Equilibrium block explorer (https://explorer.equilibrium.io).
7. Additional Tips
- Ensure your MetaMask wallet is properly backed up.
- If you encounter any issues, refer to the Equilibrium documentation or contact the Equilibrium support team.
