A critical update has been released by XRPL to address an issue affecting the network’s Full History node. The problem, which was caused by an SQLite page sizing limitation, led to the failure of several FH nodes.

According to a post on the X platform by a validator named Vet, the latest version of Rippled focuses solely on the issue with the Full History Servers. Rippled 2.2.3 aims to resolve the page size issue with SQLite databases that were impacting FH nodes. The upgrade is expected to restore the Full History servers with 4096 pages, bringing them back to full functionality.

Although the issue did not affect all validators, they were given the option to either upgrade to version 2.2.3 or remain on the older version 2.2.2. Both of these versions are compatible since the current release addresses the node failure issue rather than introducing any new features.

The XRP community has been concerned with the Full History node failures since the issue was brought to light last weekend. A few FH nodes, which contain the complete ledger record of transactions, began to malfunction due to the SQLite page size restriction. Even though it was thought the issue had been dealt with years ago, it appeared again and caused FH node failure.

XRPL to Get Major Update with Multi-Purpose Tokens

The XRP Ledger is set to undergo a significant update soon with the introduction of Multi-Purpose Tokens (MPTs). This project will add various functionalities to the blockchain by focusing on tokenized asset management and efficiency.
