Steve Chen, co-founder of YouTube, has joined the memecoin project linked to one of the first YouTube cat videos from 2005. The meme coin, called Pajamas (PAJAMAS), runs on the Solana blockchain.

The video was uploaded in 2005 and features Chen's cat, Pajamas, performing Nick Drake's song. The cat passed away 20 years ago, and the memecoin project is intended to commemorate it. Despite not being initially involved, Chen joined the project after being tagged by numerous users.

His involvement in the Web3 world through Pajamas has made him aware of the trust issues that exist in the space.

“Every time I want to meet someone important or influential in the Web3 world there is at least one person that messages me warning me to never meet or talk to this person,” he said. “Every day on Telegram there are at least 25+ new people trying to find a way to steal my money.”
