Shiba Inu (SHIB) is forging ahead in its quest for global adoption, with lead developer Shytoshi Kusama now reaching out to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin for support.

In a tweet on March 4, Kusama addressed Buterin, inviting him for a talk aimed at boosting the Shiba Inu ecosystem’s reach globally.

The tweet was in response to an update by Buterin on significant changes within the Ethereum Foundation (EF). In his tweet earlier that day, Buterin revealed that EF had been undergoing a leadership restructuring process for nearly a year.

Notably, Buterin emphasized that EF will remain neutral, avoiding political lobbying or ideological shifts that might compromise Ethereum’s principles.

In an unprecedented move, its creator, Ryoshi, sent 50% of SHIB’s total supply to Buterin's wallet shortly after SHIB was created in 2020. In 2021, Buterin donated 50 trillion SHIB to the Relief Fund and burned the remaining 90%, significantly reducing SHIB’s supply and increasing its prominence.

In another development, January 2025 saw Shiba Inu partnering with Astra Nova to explore Web3 innovations, combining AI gaming and meme culture.
