The bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange, Mt. Gox, has paid out a huge amount of bitcoin (BTC) from its known address. According to data from Arkham Intelligence, about 11,834 BTC, valued at about 1.07 billion dollars, were paid out from an Mt. Gox address identified as “1PuQB” to an unknown address “1Mo1…9gR9” at approximately 3:17 UTC on Thursday.

This is the biggest transaction by the exchange since January 2025, and it comes as Mt. Gox continues its efforts to return funds to creditors following its bankruptcy in 2014.

A few minutes later, 166.5 BTC, valued at approximately 15.12 million dollars, were moved from the exchange's main account to its cold wallet, “1Jbez.”
