IntoTheBlock accompanied its tweet with a chart that depicts the trend of MicroStrategy's Bitcoin buys since August 2020. Notably, the year 2024 saw a substantial upsurge in MicroStrategy Bitcoin buys. However, this trend has slowed in recent weeks, particularly since late December.

On Jan. 6, MicroStrategy announced the acquisition of 1,070 BTC for approximately $101 million, or $94,004 per Bitcoin, just days after revealing that it would acquire more of the cryptocurrency through perpetual preferred stock, common shares and debt.
