Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, was asked about the XRP Ledger during a Town Hall meeting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. An attendee, who appeared to be a supporter, asked Musk directly, “Do you envision the XRP Ledger being incorporated into financial institutions in the future?”

Musk responded by saying that he does believe cryptocurrency serves as an interesting and valuable bulwark against centralized control. However, he also clarified that his statement should not be interpreted as an endorsement or lack of endorsement for XRP.

“This is definitely not an endorsement or lack of endorsement for XRP, but I do think crypto by its very nature helps with individual freedom,” Musk added.

People in the XRP community quickly reacted to Musk's comments at the event. Vandell, also known as Black Swan Capitalist (@vandell33) on X, observed Musk's demeanor during the interaction.

This marks the first time that Musk has publicly commented on XRP during a speech. Members of the community have been actively seeking to get Musk's attention on X, hoping for him to express support for the asset.

While Musk did not explicitly endorse XRP, there have been two instances where he interacted with the community. Previously, Musk has reacted to developments involving Ripple.
