Bitcoin (BTC) price movements are influenced by a range of factors, including macroeconomic conditions, institutional activity, and on-chain metrics. As BTC continues its recovery from recent lows, new data from market intelligence firm Santiment highlights three signals that could be signaling an upcoming bull run for the top crypto asset by market capitalization.

In its latest crypto market update, Santiment notes that the average returns of wallets have been below 0% for a significant portion of the past year, a period that has also seen BTC rally from lows of around $30,000 to current levels above $98,000.

According to the crypto analytics platform, accumulating BTC when wallets’ average returns are below 0% is a historically strong move.

“Despite the high levels of polarization cryptocurrency markets are currently showing, it’s encouraging to see that Bitcoin’s on-chain metrics are pointing to several bullish divergences.

Finally, Santiment notes that the amount of BTC sitting in crypto exchange platforms is also signaling a possible move to the upside for the flagship digital asset.

“We would also be remiss not to mention the fact that the supply of Bitcoin on exchanges has stayed relatively low after the major exodus of coins from exchanges (into cold wallets) throughout the tail end of 2024.
