Changpeng Zhao, the former CEO of Binance, has announced plans to support the BNB Chain ecosystem by providing liquidity to weekly program winners.

Zhao made the announcement on X on Feb. 28, where he stated that he will be adding “a few hundred BNB (BNB) in liquidity” to the BNB Chain weekly program winners until his allocated funds are depleted. He noted that the program administrators will likely expand eligibility beyond meme tokens to include larger market cap projects and additional sectors.

The program aims to support the BNB Chain ecosystem by providing liquidity to promising projects. It is open to all meme coins that are natively launched on BSC through SpringBoard by PancakeSwap or the following platforms: Four.meme, Burve, Gra.Fun, PinkSale, Flap, TokenFi, Beeper, HoloworldAI.

Zhao also took the opportunity to address those who have been sending tokens to his address in the hope of gaining his attention.

The former exchange head went on to explain that returning such tokens would create unnecessary work and encourage more opportunistic sends. Instead, Zhao plans to either leave the tokens untouched or burn them. “I will not endorse any tokens,” he emphasized.

Zhao had also briefly considered converting received tokens to BNB, similar to Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin’s approach with unsolicited token sends. But he ultimately abandoned this idea after considering the market impact on existing holders and the additional effort it would entail.
