LINE NEXT, the innovation arm of the Japanese messaging giant LINE Corporation, has announced the launch of Mini Dapps and a Dapp Portal powered by the Kaia blockchain. The Mini Dapps are designed to simplify the Web3 user experience by allowing developers to build them directly on the LINE Messenger platform.

According to the company’s statement, users can seamlessly browse through and engage with the apps. They can also trade digital assets and collect rewards using an in-app wallet.

This effort is a collaboration with the Kaia DLT Foundation, which is responsible for overseeing the growth of the Kaia blockchain’s ecosystem. Notably, LINE NEXT’s software development kit (SDK) played a crucial role in streamlining the development process for Mini Dapps.

Among the earliest Mini Dapps to gain significant traction is Cattea from Pluto Studio, which managed to reach 43 million users within six months. Another successful example is LINE’s Captain Tsubasa -RIVALS-, a soccer game based on the classic manga.
