According to Coindesk, Guillén is a strong contender for the role due to her deep experience in both the crypto and legal industries. Several crypto companies are also said to be backing her for the position.

However, it's important to note that this is just one of the names being considered for the role. Other candidates include Robert Stebbins from Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, Brad Bondi from Paul Hastings, Paul Atkins (a former SEC commissioner), Dan Gallagher, the legal chief at Robinhood, and Brian Brooks, a former acting Comptroller of the Currency.
