Institutional-grade finance platform Ondo Finance has announced the launch of Ondo Chain, a layer 1 blockchain network targeted for institutional adoption of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs).

This latest Ondo Finance news comes as the native token ONDO has surged in recent months amid the RWA market growth. Earlier on February 6, 2025, Donald Trump-backed World Liberty Financial scooped up more ONDO to add to its crypto haul.

According to an announcement, Ondo aims to accelerate the adoption of institutional-grade financial markets with onchain offerings on the Ondo Chain. The layer 1 is built to bring a platform that combines security and compliance to advance the tokenized RWA market.

As well as Ondo Chain, the summit saw the Ondo Finance team provide key updates to its other infrastructure product – the Ondo Global Markets. Ondo GM is a tokenization platform aimed at bringing publicly-traded securities onchain.
