In light of a 1933 coin recently selling for an eye-watering £140,000, as revealed by the TikTok user, checking what you've got is recommended.

TikTok user @CoinCollectingWizard, who boasts a considerable following of 172,700 on the platform, posted a tantalising video clip where he presented insights into a man's rare coin valuation encounter.

Continuing on, the TikTok user explained: "This is the 1933 predecimal penny from the UK, so make sure you check your grandad's old coin collection and keep an eye out for this date.
