This structure ensures accountability for both stakers and publishers, ultimately fostering a trustworthy network.

The DAO also determines the allocation of slashed funds and can introduce new reward mechanisms, including those tied to on-chain revenue generated by the oracle.

In this system, participants can delegate their PYTH tokens to data providers, increasing their potential rewards. However, if a provider fails to meet the network's standards, stakers supporting them may incur penalties, encouraging a more selective and responsible approach to staking. The staking process itself is simple, entailing a four-step procedure where participants stake tokens, choose publishers, and earn rewards based on publisher performance following a brief warm-up period.
