In Pixel Dungeons, players enter a two-minute competitive environment where they can mine PIXEL tokens, clear obstacles and defeat goblins using TNT, and evade lava traps. Players can also engage in strategic sabotaging of rivals to claim their collected treasures.

Speaking on the PIXEL token’s strategic use across their gaming platforms, Pixels founder and CEO Luke Barwikowski stated, “The PIXEL token is central to everything we build, allowing players to earn and use tokens across an ecosystem of games.” This approach enhances player engagement and bolsters the token’s utility and circulation within the gaming community.

Operating on the Ethereum sidechain Ronin, Pixels itself continues to show robust engagement metrics, with around 200,000 monthly active spenders. In November alone, the game distributed about 22 million PIXEL tokens, or around $5 million, with players reinvesting roughly half of these earnings back into the game ecosystem.
