Bitcoin price could still surge by 12,900% and deliver an annualized rate of return of 29% over the next 21 years, according to Michael Saylor.

The cofounder and chairman of MicroStrategy, which holds more than 330,000 bitcoins, told CNBC on Friday that the cryptocurrency's volatility will also decrease as its adoption grows.

Saylor's prediction that bitcoin will see its volatility decrease suggests that the cryptocurrency's returns going forward should be more sustainable.

Another bullish factor for Saylor is Donald Trump's election win earlier this month and Republicans' sweep of Congress.
