On the NSE, the Nifty Pharma index fell 0.23 per cent to close at 3,925.25.

Among the stocks in the Nifty Pharma index, Divis Labs rose 1.24 per cent, Cipla advanced 0.88 per cent and Dr Reddy's Labs gained 0.74 per cent.

On the other hand, Sun Pharma fell 0.84 per cent, Biocon dropped 0.78 per cent and Torrent Pharma slipped 0.48 per cent.

The Nifty Pharma index has risen 32.6 per cent so far in 2024, outperforming the Nifty 50 index, which has gained 19.2 per cent during the same period.
