Starting March 4, the platform will switch to a monthly review cycle for adding new tokens to the Monitoring Tag list. The move follows feedback from the community to better structure the process.

Binance will now regularly assess and select candidates for the Monitoring Tag on the first Monday of every month, beginning March 4.

The initiative, launched in May to classify high-risk and volatile tokens, requires users to pass a quiz every 90 days to continue trading the tagged assets.

"The aim of the initiative is to provide traders with greater insight into the types of assets they are investing in and to ensure that they are adequately equipped to handle the risks associated with trading highly volatile tokens," Binance said in a statement.

It’s worth noting that Binance assesses several factors, including the team's commitment, project liquidity, public relations, network security, and smart contract security, among other criteria, before bestowing the Monitoring Tag upon a token.
