Authorized by Congress with mandated sales deadlines, this year’s two commemorative coin programs honor significant chapters in American history. One program marks the bicentennial of Harriet Tubman’s birth with coins featuring designs emblematic of her life story and legacy. The other pays tribute to the service and sacrifice of American soldiers and civilians during World War II with the "Greatest Generation" coins, celebrating the enduring contributions of those who lived through this pivotal era.
