'건설장인'으로 알려진 무당 전성배가 구속영장을 신청했다.

서울남부지검은 전날 구속된 전씨에 대해 구속영장을 신청했다고 18일 밝혔다.

Prosecutors have requested an arrest warrant for Jeon Sung-bae, a shaman better known as "The Construction Master," on suspicion of receiving money disguised as a "nomination donation."

검찰이 '공천기부금'을 가장해 금품을 받은 혐의로 '건설장인'으로 알려진 무당 전성배씨에 대해 구속영장을 신청했다.

The Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office announced on the 18th that it had requested an arrest warrant for Jeon, who was arrested the previous day for violating the Political Fund Act.

서울남부지검은 전날 정치자금법 위반 혐의로 구속된 전씨에 대해 구속영장을 신청했다고 18일 밝혔다.

The prosecution's investigation began after detecting suspicious funding conditions related to Jeon while looking into the flow of funds for "Queen B-coin," a scam coin (fraudulent virtual currency) that was promoted to be invested by actor Bae Yong-joon. The prosecution is also investigating whether Jeon attempted to launder illegal funds with the coins.

검찰 수사는 배우 배용준이 투자하겠다고 홍보한 스캠코인(사기성 가상화폐) '퀸비코인' 자금 흐름을 조사하던 중 전씨와 관련된 자금조달 의혹을 포착한 뒤 시작됐다. 검찰은 전씨가 해당 동전으로 불법 자금세탁을 시도했는지도 조사하고 있다.

During the 2022 presidential election, Jeon was suspected of intervening in interests by showing off his friendship with the president and his wife as an active member of the Yoon Suk Yeol candidate's campaign. He is also known to have served as an advisor to Kobana Content operated by First Lady Kim Gun-hee.

전씨는 2022년 대선 당시 윤석열 후보 유세에 적극 참여해 대통령 부부와의 친분을 과시해 이해관계에 개입했다는 의혹을 받았다. 김건희 여사가 운영하는 코바나 콘텐츠의 자문위원으로도 활동한 것으로 알려졌다.
