The announcement came as Congress is moving forward on legislation to regulate stablecoins in the U.S.; many of the lawmakers working on that were also at the same DC Blockchain Summit on Wednesday, hosted by the Digital Chamber.

Tim Scott (R-SC) and Rep. French Hill (R-AR). Their legislation may eventually be seeking final approval by President Trump, leaving little daylight between the industry's chief lobbying goals and the president's family business.
