Bitwise, a specialist asset manager, has launched the Bitwise Diaman Bitcoin & Gold ETP (BTCG) on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam.

The product is designed for investors seeking a ‘store of value’ strategy to minimize losses in crypto bear markets, while capitalizing on Bitcoin’s potential during upturns. It rebalances Bitcoin and gold once a month based on ULCER indices, a volatility gauge measuring the downside risk of a given asset.

Testing shows ULCER indices outperform static allocation methods, highlighting the product's value. BTCG is fully backed by physical Bitcoin and Pax Gold (PAXG), a digital token tied to physical gold in LBMA vaults. Both assets are held in cold-storage custody by a regulated custodian, ensuring no internet connection.

The ETP is issued and domiciled in Germany, with primary listings on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam from March 6th 2025. It is also available on Xetra.

Bitwise has been increasing its activity in Europe since its acquisition of ETC Group last year. It recently rebranded its legacy European Crypto ETP suite and continues to launch products like the Bitwise Solana or Bitwise Aptos Staking ETPs in November and December 2024.
