Oklahoma is set to begin discussing whether to allow state employees to be paid in Bitcoin, as a new bill has advanced to the committee stage.

Representative Mike Cabell, a key proponent of the initiative, has pointed to institutional asset managers like BlackRock and Fidelity, which have added BTC to their portfolios to mitigate macroeconomic risks.
