The Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) community is at a crossroads with the controversial proposal to revive USTC still heating up. While some community members are calling for the proposal to be passed, others, such as MrDiamondhandz, are criticizing it.

"Just when I thought they couldn't get any dumber, they outdid themselves. Now, they want to drain community funds into low-volume DEXs and cash out. NO!," said MrDiamondhandz, one of LUNC’s most vocal validators, on March 15.

The LUNC Dash Proposal aims to rebrand USTC into Universal Standard Token Classic (USTC) to create a fresh identity for the token. It is also planning to launch an Emergency Response Team that can respond quickly to critical situations without needing full governance to vote on every decision. The proposal also acknowledges the reality of the token's current market standing by referring to it as a memecoin.

The proposal has received support from 39.41% of the community, while 7.95% oppose it, and 25.47% prefer another outcome. However, only 28.95% of the community has voted so far, and 40% quorum is needed to pass the proposal. The initiative will expire in 10 days if the quorum isn't reached.
