KILT is an open-source blockchain protocol designed to issue claims-based credentials in Web 3.0 with the aim of restoring individual privacy and enabling new business models in the identity economy. Unlike traditional identity systems, KILT does not store personal data on the blockchain. Instead, only hash values of the data are saved on the blockchain, while the user's data remains in their Credential, under their control.
