The AB Charitable Foundation has officially launched its global operations and a new website, www.ab.org. This landmark event sees the Foundation emerging onto the international nonprofit scene, presenting a public-interest initiative that fuses technological innovation with institutional integrity.

Headquartered in Ireland and operating within recognized legal frameworks of the European Union, the Foundation is structured as a charitable organization focused on sustainable development and rebuilding global trust in governance and collaboration. At the intersection of governmental, civil, and technological sectors, the Foundation is guided by a board of directors composed of highly respected former European leaders.

The board is chaired by Bertie Ahern, Ireland’s former Prime Minister who played a pivotal role in brokering the historic Good Friday Agreement. Other board members include Lawrence Gonzi and Péter Medgyessy, former heads of state and government from Malta and Hungary, respectively. Additionally, Danilo Türk, former president of Slovenia and candidate for the presidency of the United Nations General Assembly, and Petar Stoyanov, former president of Bulgaria and member of the European Court of Auditors, bring their diverse experience to the board.

This on-chain funding mechanism facilitates a new philanthropic paradigm—one that combines automated donations with real-time transparency, blockchain-based audits, and third-party compliance supervision.
