Notably, CoinGecko did not specify the precise criteria used to select the tokens, which has drawn criticism from the crypto community.

While the Algorand Foundation is based in Singapore, some argue that the project's American roots should qualify it for inclusion. Other overlooked tokens include Cardano (ADA), Injective (INJ), and World (WLD).
