'In token of gratitude' is a documentary interview with Harriet Weaver (nee Cole) about her great aunt Harriet Shaw Weaver. Harriet was named after her great aunt who was a patron of James Joyce's work and very involved with the publication of Ulysses and other works by James Joyce. It is 100 years since her great aunt received the No 1 hand printed first edition copy of Ulysses signed to her from James Joyce himself with the inscription 'In token of Gratitude'. This interview reflects on that token and the influence of her great aunt who was such a generous and intelligent benefactor to the genius of Joyce, a gift that we all still benefit from to this day.
