A group of proponents of Bitcoin in Switzerland, led by Yves Bennaim, have launched a referendum to require Bitcoin (BTC) to be included with gold in the foreign exchange reserves of the Swiss National Bank (SNB). This proposed amendment is thought to be a step toward increasing SNB's reserve assets and would be added to the Swiss constitution.
