The DOGE-1 lunar mission and market sentiment are among the events shaping the coin's DOGE.
Meme-inspired cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE) is ready for a big breakout, according to a well-known expert. The expert, known for the information he shares on the Crypto Capital Venture YouTube channel, pointed out a number of interesting metrics that suggest Dogecoin is on the verge of a significant rise.
Notably, DOGE is currently trading at $0.1027, clearing one zero as the price surged 12.94% in the last 24 hours. Additionally, the market value exceeding $14.5 billion and the transaction volume being more than $2 billion indicate that the predicted rally may be on the way.
Factors Fueling Analyst Dogecoin's Bullish Insight
One key metric highlighted by the analyst is that 65% of Dogecoin wallet addresses are currently profitable, indicating bullish sentiment among investors. Moreover, there has been a notable increase in Dogecoin holding addresses, with an impressive 50,000 increase in the last 30 days. These metrics are seen as indicative of strengthening fundamentals and underscore the belief that Dogecoin remains undervalued.
Accordingly, the analyst has set a short-term price target of 16 cents and predicts an upside of almost 100% from current levels of around 9 cents. This target builds on the expert's previous call in which he announced that he has purchased a significant amount of Dogecoin this year at around 6 cents.
Adding to the optimistic outlook, the upcoming Doge-1 satellite will also be launched. Notably, the Doge-1 satellite mission recently received important approval from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), paving the way for the mission's final Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license, which has also been packaged.
The mission is scheduled to begin in January 2024, with the Dogecoin logo orbiting the moon and broadcasting advertising to Earth from space. This ambitious project adds a unique and positive dimension to Dogecoin's community strengths and ultimately its future potential.
Other catalysts contributing to the positive sentiment surrounding Dogecoin include the general enthusiasm in cryptocurrency markets, especially with Bitcoin rising above $42,000. Currently, Bitcoin is trading at $43,918, up 5.6% according to our data. The analyst suggests that as Bitcoin strengthens, Dogecoin is poised to “steal the show” and outperform other cryptocurrencies.
Dogecoin Historical Performance and Market Position
As highlighted in a previous report, Dogecoin's strength is evident in its outstanding historical performance, especially during the 2021 bull run, when it recorded a staggering 65,393% rise.
Compared to meme coin counterparts such as Shiba Inu and Floki, Dogecoin has shown resilience and outperformed this year, up 21.60%. The cryptocurrency's close correlation with Bitcoin, reflected by a correlation coefficient of 0.91 according to Macroaxis, could be crucial, especially with Bitcoin's halving in 2024 and the potential approval of the Bitcoin Exchange Traded Fund (ETF).
Interestingly, there is a growing debate about including Dogecoin in Tesla's Cybertruck payment options. The Tesla codebase contains more than 50 references to Dogecoin, raising hopes that Elon Musk's company could allow Dogecoin payments for the Cybertruck.
While neither Tesla nor Elon Musk have publicly confirmed this integration, the speculation aligns with Musk's interest in Dogecoin and adds credence to its potential application in real-world transactions.
