What is INJ Coin? Tutorial Definition

Mar 21, 2025 at 08:37 pm Quick Definition

INJ Coin is the native token of Injective, a blockchain platform that facilitates the development of decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. Offering fast transactions at low costs, Injective provides an ideal environment, especially for derivative trading and creating complex financial instruments. Inj Coin, one of the key elements of Injective Protocol, which provides infrastructure for decentralized exchanges (DEX), derivatives markets and other financial applications, provides an alternative to traditional financial systems by giving users greater control and freedom. The total supply of INJ Coin is limited to 100 million units. INJ Coin's supply is limited in order to both protect the value of the token and prevent inflation. In addition to limited supply, Injective's deflationary mechanism also aims to preserve the value of INJ Coin. The platform reduces the circulating supply by regularly burning a certain amount of INJ Coins. This can help the price rise steadily in the long run. As of February 2025, INJ Coin's circulating supply is approximately 97.73 million units. Injective was founded in 2018 by Eric Chen and Albert Chon. Eric Chen studied Finance at New York University and worked as a Venture Partner at Innovating Capital. Albert Chon, on the other hand, did a master's degree in Computer Science at Stanford University and then worked as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon. Injective Protocol, the team that implemented and developed the Injective project, includes people with expertise in finance, technology and cryptocurrencies in addition to Eric Chen and Albert Chon. The project is also supported by major investors such as Binance Labs. The parent company responsible for the development of the Injective project is headquartered in the United States of Injective Labs. However, Injective has no center and is managed in a completely decentralized way. The project is supported by a global community. This means that INJ Coin is not only managed by one company, but with the participation of all users.
