As crypto markets take a breather following a huge post-Fed meeting rally on Wednesday, investors hunting for the best crypto to buy today are scouring altcoins markets for outperformers.

Bitcoin (BTC) was last consolidating in the mid-$66,000s, having eclipsed $68,000 earlier in the day.

That leaves the world’s largest cryptocurrency still close to 10% higher versus Wednesday’s lows.

Ether (ETH), meanwhile, is consolidating close to $3,500, close to 15% up versus Wednesday’s lows.

The strength of Ether’s rebound is surprising to some, given recent news that the SEC is campaigning to classify ETH as a security.

Bulls will be hoping that the latest rebound signals an end to the mostly profit-taking-driven market retracement.

Bitcoin could easily retest the all-time highs it printed last week near $74,000.

With analysts betting that BTC hits $100K this year, Bitcoin is certainly a candidate for best crypto to buy today.

But smaller, lesser-known altcoins could potentially deliver much bigger gains.

Ondo (ONDO).

Ondo (ONDO), the native governance token for the Ondo DAO and Flux Finance, is pumping.

The crypto is up over 36% in the past 24 hours, as per CoinMarketCap. ONDO’s market cap has now vaulted above $1 billion, amid nearly half a billion in trading volumes.

ONDO recently hit all-time highs to the north of $0.80 and the sky is now the limit.

As DeFi protocol Flux Finance gains traction, ONDO could go a lot higher.

With 5x gains on the cards, ONDO could be the best crypto to buy today.

JasmyCoin (JASMY).

Decentralized Internet of Things (IoT) protocol JasmyCoin (JASMY) is pumping hard, up 31% in 24 hours.

Last at $0.0225, JASMY is now up 660% versus its 2023 lows around $0.003.

JASMY is still down around 94% versus its all-time high price reached back in late 2021 above $0.36, however.

That suggests it’s still very early to get back into the coin, assuming it continues to pump with the broader market.

Floki (FLOKI).

FLOKI (FLOKI), the Shiba Inu meme coin that was created in honor of Elon Musk’s pet Shiba Inu dog, is a leading coin on Thursday.
