In turbulent and uncertain times, singers/songwriters give people support and sincerity. That's good for Ron Spielman, because the German-American who lives in Berlin is a master of musical sincerity. In the 80s he started his own band projects, followed by stays in New York and Boston as well as tours and appearances with, among others. the Little River Band, Dave Stewart, the Chick Corea Electric Band, Bob Geldof, the Climax Blues Band and Johnny Guitar Watson.
In 2012 he released “Electric Tales” with the Ron Spielman Trio, for “Stern” “one of the most fascinating albums of the year”; The tour was presented exclusively by Sat 1 and documented at prime time.
With the second solo album “Swimming In The Dark” the rock-tanned and blues-soaked self-taught artist presents his masterpiece. We listen to rock music that is free from all constraints and is open to style. With a voice whose throaty force grabs you straight away, with delicate yet powerful guitar playing and with independent yet catchy melodies.
Thomas Stieger is currently one of the most sought-after musicians on the German scene. The Berlin bassist played in Sarah Connor's band and works with many musicians of different styles live and in the studio, including: with Gregory Porter, Narada Michael Walden, Klaus Doldinger, Nils Landgren, Martin Tingvall and Torsten Goods.

From now on there will be concerts every Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Catacomb Theater in Essen with changing guest musicians.
The regular events will also take place again in the Catacombs Theater in the Girardet House, although they will be linked to concerns and hopes as well as fundraising and solidarity campaigns for Ukraine. The dry spell of recent years has been too difficult for all theaters.
